The picture on the right wall is a picture of Lorraine & Alfred and their four children.
To See Sally's Earlier Projects . . .
Our cousin, Lorraine, celebrated her 50th anniversary in January 2001 and Sally created this giftbag for Lorraine and Alfred Bakewell.   The space on the back wall over the punch table now has Lorraine & Alfred's wedding picture--but we didn't have it when I took the photo.  This picture shows how pretty the gift bag is and it appears washed out in the other photos.

A gift bag for Sally's granddaughter's new baby.  The picture on the right wall is of Alicia's family.
We found this perfect bag for her Indian doll.  I scanned the outside of the bag and printed out copies to make the background scene for the bag interior.  We made the teepee by scanning a picture of one, made 2 copies and attached them to a paper cone.
Sally's dressed this doll and wove the rug in Elizabeth Staryk's class taught in October 2000 at the Gateway Miniature Fair Show & Sale in St. Louis.
The fireplace is the "breakfront" of the brown plastic furniture that we painted to look like a fireplace instead.  I'm not happy with the way the settee and chair turned out when we covered them, so there will be a replacement project another day.
The stairs didn't have a banister or railing on the 2nd floor.  We added these by using the bits and pieces of "turnings" -- after all the residents wouldn't want the danger of an open staircase.
This house is furnished with the brown bubble pack furniture.  We redressed the beds and added a few touches like flowers, but we still have to make the rooms look more "lived in" by adding food in the kitchen and area rugs.
This Tudor house was a class taught in April 2003 at the St. Louis show by Carolyn & Fred Stephenson.  They assembled the house and worked on the landscaped base in class.
Sally's Minis - continued
My sister made this Christmas scene in a gift bag to give her daughter for Christmas.  She decorated the tree, made the wreath, and wrapped the packages.  I found the Santa for her to use at the Chicago miniature show.
